If your Chrome browser is diverting you to URLs like “https://static.dreamsadnetwork.com/error/404.html?url=<LINKURL>” when you click links in some websites like facebook? That means you have some adware or unwanted extensions installed in your computer. Here is the way to resolve this issue:
Go to Chrome menu->tools->extensions. See if you find any extension that is not added by you.
Remove all the extensions that you have not installed or unaware of. Restart the browser. You probably will see some extensions like “extended protection”returned there. If so, go to extensions page again and select Developer more as shown in the image.
Now below each extension, ID of the extension will be displayed.
In windows, locate the folder under App data(Go to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\<Extension ID> in Windows 7)
Delete the folder pertaining to the unwanted extension, Remove the extension from the chrome again and restart the browser. Check the extensions list again.
You may need some additional steps. Go to “Programs and features” in control panel and sort by date, delete any recent application that was added without your knowledge.
